Steve and Larry have been friends since their school days in Hampshire, and attended the same college to complete their A-Levels. After college, Larry moved on to University where he earned a degree in Practical Archaeology while Stephen decided to go straight into work. They first started hiking during their college years and have continued to challenge themselves with demanding countryside treks over the years. 

 It all started because of a missed bus... Larry missed his last bus home and so with no other option but to walk and the following day being the weekend, Steve and Larry decided to turn the 12 mile walk by road into a 20 mile hike across the countryside at night.

Of course, their luck was out that night and the heavens opened as they walked, forcing them to take shelter in a small wooded area where they made a fire and waited out the storm.

This accidental adventure was the start of things to come, and the pair have continued to adventure across the English countryside honing their survival skills and learning to forage from the land.

Having completed numerous expeditions it hit them that these adventures could be used to raise money for charity and so plans were formulated.
