Steve at Weymouth
Larry at Weymouth
Stevey giving the thumbs up!
Stevey hiking like a man!
We assume this is a ship sighting beacon...but not entirely sure.
Huzzah! The Daring Duo arrive at Lulworth Cove!
Entry without paying was not a good idea!
Only 110 miles to Hyde Park Corner? Demoralising...
Larry the catapillar.
But Larry's is bigger and better!
Hurray! We have reached the New Forest!!!
Busy Pub! Royal Oak at Fritham
On the road again.
AMAZING!!!
Stevey devours a Big One...
Romsey Abby, very nice.
Steve on-route to Winchester!
Larry arrives back at his old Uni town. Huzzah!!
The mighty King Alfred
River Itchen not far outside of Winchester. Funny, I remember it being a little bigger...
Steve just cant stop playing Candy Crush, totally oblivious to the natural beauty all about him.
Steve conveniently twisted his ankle outside Medstead village hall, and the people of Medstead rushed out to refill our water and give us homebaked cake! Result!
Larry outside Alton Abbey.
Huzzah! We reach Alton!
This footpath used to be the driveway to a big fancy manor.
Fields of gold. A fine place for a pit stop.
Steve tidies away our groundsheets. Big thank you to the groundsman who let us use the cricket pavillion to freshen up in the morning!
Our little mascot enjoys a well earned rest.
Wow! We found Bumblebee from Transformers!
GUILDFORD!
More nighthiking.
Lovely period gatehouse in East Horsley.
Yet another rest stop. This in a park at Leatherhead.
Our first London Borough! A quick trek through Epsom and Ewell, followed by Sutton and we are there!
Interesting how there was not a non-alternative route signposted anywhere...
Back at Croydon HQ, a single malt in hand. They set out as men, but returned as blistered, limping, stubbly HERO's!!! Job done.
View from Weymouth cliffs
Larry sipping a well deserved coke.
Larry, king of the world!!!
Amusing...
Outside Lulworth Castle. Well worth a visit, and wonderful staff!
After a long hike we finally arrive at Wareham!
Mmm. Garlic saussage and fresh veg. Thats enough to lift anyones spirits!
Stevey ready for sleep.
Oh oh! Steve discovers a blister...
Stevey in his element.
Getting to know the locals.
Awww. Tiny pony!
A well deserved rest.
One of the high points of our trek so far.
SUGAR RUSH!!!!!
At last! We reach todays goal!
Stevey lags behind.
Steve at Winchester
Steve at Winchester Cathederal
Ah! Thats more like it. Turned out we'd stopped in the wrong place.
Well earned sit down after a long hike.
Steve on the road to recovery.
Our mascot.
Only another 46 miles to go!
Another amusing sign. Well done Steve for spotting this one in the dark!
Stupid O'Clock at night, and we finally reach Farnham!
Darn blisters...bandage time again.
Steve back to nature again.
Didnt seem as horrific as Saving Private Ryan made out...
Guildford Castle at dusk.
Yet another night of sleeping rough like a tramp.
Viaduct across the River Mole at Leatherhead.
A major milestone! Crossing the M25. Getting close to home now!
Hmm. Not such a quick trek. Miles and miles of endless suburbia...
But then, at almost 2330hrs, eight and a half days after setting out on our epic journey, we reached our destination!
